So you can save yourself a few steps in playing 5.55+ games. No more extracting the games eboot, using game decrypter to patch the eboot. Then finally re-building the ISO. None of that is needed anymore, thanks to GENyUS. So delete that Game Decrypter v4 from your hard-drive as you don’t need it anymore. At least for firmware 5.55, 6.00 and 6.10 games.
Only install 5.50 GEN-C on PSP-1000 and PSP-2000 models. Do not install on a PSP-3000 or any PSP with a TA-88V3 board. Note: If the XMB freezes after installing this update, boot (holding R-Trigger) into the recovery console and browse to Advanced -> Format flash1 and reset settings. Another note: Personally, I don’t recommend updating just yet… Refer to the comments to see what I mean. Although, you can be a sport and install it, report bugs you encounter, and Pandora back afterward. Expect a patch or two soon as well as an option to speed up memory stick access.

GAME Decrypter is universal gaming converter solves the problem with the launch of new games for firmware 5.55 and 6.00 for older modified firmware from the M33 and GEN.

How to Use PSP Custom Firmware 5.55 – CFW 5.55 MOD
Do not press the first option (Install 5.00 M33) and to actually install the firmware 5.55 with the modules M33 and ipl, it would have a brick. However, if you want to test the firmware 5.55 official press in the second option (Install 5.55 OFW) and this will install correctly. With this DC OFW 5.55 can be installed in flash, and emulate 5.00 M33-4 from the memory stick. If you want to have installed the 5.00 M33-4 in the flash, take the resurrection.prx of update folder and copy to TM-> DC8-> kd replacing by the existing one. Then in the menu screen , select the option “Install 5.00 M33″

Download Custom Firmware 5.03 GEN v2 for your SLIM PSP!
When the settings are the same click ok then “make iso” This make take up to 10mins. Once the program has made the ISO image we can continue to the next step.
Now for the next step is to convert into a eboot.pbp file, this is the game format which will play on the psp console.
For this step you will need a program called “PSX2PSP” it’s a free group of programs which will help you loads, there are harder programs out there to convert ps1 games but i find this the easiest one to use.

Connect your PSP to the computer via USB when you have loaded ChickHEN R2
Unzip 5.03GEN-A
Double click on “LAUNCH-ME.exe” (GUI)
PSP Model: depending on your PSP, choose the option PSP-2000 or PSP-3000
Mode: Choose option FULL
PSP Install: Choose option YES
Push START
The files are copied on your PSP
Disconnect the PSP from USB
Launch the main EBOOT.PBP using ChickHEN R2 (only R2! NOT R1!).
When the app loads, press L or R to flash the firmware in your flash. YOU ONLY NEED MAKE IT ONE TIME!
Press CIRCLE to reboot in the custom firmware.
NOTES:
- When you installed the custom firmware in your flash you can remove the "files" folder in the MS ROOT. For your own safety, is better that you rename or erase the prx called "flasher.prx" in the MAIN APP folder to avoid wrong flash times.
- If you shutdown the machine or the psp crash, you will need use again ChickHEN R2 to load the main app and press O to reboot in the custom firmware, but if you dont shutdown the machine you are in the custom firmware forever.
BUGS:
- In recovery mode after the option "Configuration" the option selected is the next option. For example, Advanced is CPU Speed, etc. This is a problem with the original recovery, because I dont have the code is very difficult find the problem.
REMEMBER! THIS APP DONT TOUCH ANY FILE FROM THE ORIGINAL FIRMWARE! IS YOUR FAULT IF YOU LATER CONNECT TO THE FLASH0 AND TOUCH SOME OFFICIAL FILE AND YOU HAVE A BRICK!
Team Typhoon and group lead Davee have made good on their promise to deliver a properly working version of the universal homebrew enabler known as ChickHEN, initially released yesterday. For those in need of a refresher, this enables homebrew support on firmware 5.03 for all PSP revisions, including the PSP-3000 and TA-088 v3 equipped 2000 units.
Despite being hampered by bugs the first time around, R2 turns the tables with proper, fully-functional homebrew support. Users are advised to stick to using 3.X kernel based applications, as older legacy software based on the 1.5 kernel will have issues with running from within the HEN environment.

[What it does?] ChickHEN works as a homebrew enabler for all PSP models (1000, 2000 and 3000) and allows execution of homebrew games and apps on 5.03 Official firmware. It can allow you to play games such as Bugz!, Jellycar or run apps such as pspfiler and PSPTube. Homebrew enhances the experience of a normal PSP without any faulty side-effects.
[What it does not do?] - Run ISO, CSO or any other form of UMD backup. - Run PSX Games - Touch The Flash of your beloved PSP - Magically allow the use of Custom Firmware (on TA-088v3 or PSP 3000) - Load plugins
[How do I use it?] Depending on your PSP Model, you’re going to need a specific tiff image. If you have a Phat (1000) PSP, use the tiff image supplied in the "PHAT" folder and copy it to ms0:/PSP/PHOTO. Else copy the tiff image in the "SLIM" folder to ms0:/PSP/PHOTO. After you’ve copied the image to your PSP, you can copy the h.bin supplied to the root of the memorystick (ms0:/). This should be sufficient for PSP to reboot into ChickHEN.
[Can it break my PSP?] ChickHEN works differently to all previous HEN’s. Instead of flashing to flash0, it resides entirely in RAM to prevent any damage to the system. Sure enough, you can run applications in HEN to flash stuff but I strongly recommend against it. ChickHEN comes with no warrenty, no guanantee and you run this software under your own responsibility. Flashing onto your PSP WILL BRICK IT!!
As stated, HEN comes with no warrenty, and this software should not be used in conjunction with homebrew which can countervent any copyright laws.
