In fact, the 7506 phones conduct outside noise very well, especially wind noise. Just keep them in the included leather bag to prevent scratches, and they’ll stay nice and shiny black. I found them to be a bit fatiguing on the ears. New users be warned – if you lose the gold 1/4″ adapter you will pay dearly for a new one from Sony! I would say I have bigger than normal sized ears and the large-diaphragm design, combined with the very soft leather-wrapped earpads, really helps in making the circumpolar design (wrapped around the ears as opposed to on top) work well. Seriously, if you are reading this review, just stop and order these immediately. They went on to suggest people who were looking for an improved sound should look elsewhere. I have a large head, and you can jack these out to fit even the largest head, yet they still fit snugly on my small-headed room mate. The audio reproduction is decent, but not exceptional. I haven’t been disappointed. He wont use any other brand or model.
